Axle ID problems
I took some pictures my truck's axle:
To me, this axle looks nothing like the 4 cyl 8" or V6/turbo differential when compared to the picture below; the picture below was taken from "Erik's Toyota Diff info" website:
http://home.4x4wire.com/erik/diffs/#types
Can anybody identify what axle is this? I need to know for sure if this is indeed a V6 type of diff, and wether or not it has a 4pinion carrier. Thankyou!

Per 4x4 wire's site you provided....
" '96-up 4runner V6 diffs:
- new improved housing that looks the same as the T100/Tundra/Tacoma diff on the outside, internals are all the same as the regular V6 diff "
I'd say it has the 4-pinion carrier (case) as the V6/Turbo differential just a slightly different case. To me it looks most like the T100/Tundra per your provided pics just like 4x4 wires site says...But I'm no expert just my opinion

Yota Runner, I 100% agree with you, I also thought that my diff looks a bit like the T100/Tundra case. I actually when and removed the fill port bolt from the diff housing and looked in. To my releif I was able to see enough to positively identify a 4pinion carrier. I also performed wheel spin test, and it turns-out that I do have 4.10 gears. This is a big releif, because I already order new gears and a lockright 1620 locker. Although many of you here have stated that I did had a V6/4 pinion axle, when I decoded my Vin plate gear code "A03A" according to the code I have a 7.5"/2 pinion open diff. Thanks gain!!!
