Well today my ARB bumper arrived & w/ the help of a friend we were able to put it on. The job went a lot easier than I had anticipated. We had the old bumper & brush guard off & the ARB put on in about an hour. I don't think that's doing bad considering the instructions that came w/ the bumper. I spent an additional 2.5 hours rewiring the changes I had made at one time to the factory lighting & reinstalling my PIAA light. I was not able to use the holes in the bumper for the addition of lights. My large PIAA 80's were to big so I had to drill new holes closer to the front of the bumper & also drill holes for my PIAA 1500's. I mounted them to the lower portion of the bumper on the air deflectors. I am very pleased w/ the results & as soon as I finish off this roll I will post a pic.

Yes, their info sucks for putting it on.
That is why Jim & I gave up, and I took it back.
The shop did get it on though.

I found out later that night online that there is a hidden flap under the crossmember that must be unbolted for the bumper to slide into the channel.

Did you have a hard time finding that hidden metal flap?
We looked good and hard and could not find out why it did not slide in right.

I wish the instructions had mentioned that piece.

I didn't have anything like that to remove. I dropped the skid plate & we then pulled off the old bumper. After that I removed the 2 dust cover things that are on both sides of the front cross member that are kinda covered by the skid plate & then we removed those round front bumper stops & that was it. The ARB bolted right on.

It's the two dust covers I was talking about.
On mine, they were hidden so well we totaly missed them.
With them on, the bumper won't slide in.

I posted it in the classifieds for sale. I think I am also going to pull my Smitty Built Nerf Bars tomorrow & get some sliders made.
