Alternator and Lights

I have a 1988 4runner. It has the 4 cylinder 22-re 2.4L. I currently have a stock alternator and 4 55 watt offroad lights already on the 4runner and working. I have a 500 or 550 amp battery. I forget which. I am wanting to add a possible 4 to 6 more off-road lights (55w) or (100w). i want to have 4 on a light bar and was wondering if 55w offroad lights are powerful enough to be on a light bar and provide any light. and i wanting to put to off road lights on the rear bumper for work lights kinda like on a tractor. What i want to know is this possible with the stock alternator and battery i have??? (i doubt it is)If it is not can you tell me what i need to make this happen and maybe a price range of cost involved?? And what kind of lights 55w or 100w round or square?? I dont really have a light bar i was think i could get some L shaped brackets and line them up with the 4 hard top bolts that go across the top of the cab and bolting them in with the hardtop. Would this work?? Any help and ideas would be greatly aprreciated. thanks steve Here is a picture of what i am talking about as far as bolting L shaped brackets on with the hard top to hold the lights. Please Help with this!

What I would recommend you do... wire up all the lights with the setup you have now and see how the alternator likes it. If you're dimming really bad at idle, might want to consider a bigger direct replacement alt from Mr. Alternator. Do a search for "mr. alternator" here to find out how to contact him. If your battery is fairly new, you shouldn't need to replace it. If not, look into an Optima Yellow or Blue top.
