Plus, it looks like the notification doesn't work (or is disabled) when you subscribe to a forum versus a thread. So, to find new threads in another forum, you have to back up a level then go down two and look. Even then though, the way the "last visited" cookie works with this software, it looks like you won't always catch new threads in another forum.
In short... it takes more effort, and I think that most people just aren't thinking about it. (including me!)

yeah like mark said people are kinda camped out in this forum, thats why i decided to put the same thread in here and in the WA 4ROC forum.
and for the meeting at golden gardens, i'll send the info out again via email to those people who joined after i had sent it. but just so you know, we're planning on having everybody bring their own burgers or ribs or whatever main dish that they want, and then bring a dish to share, like chips salad, fruit, dessert. you know all that kind of stuff. oh and bring your own drinks.

That shouldn't be an issue since we're all driving, but I thought I'd toss it out there.

Runners & Trucks?
Why couldn't the truck guys build a site dedicated to only Toys with a branch for us to be involved in their club. How would we ever change 4ROC and get away with it. I am not in any way against Toy Trucks I actually wish sometimes I had one. That is why I am looking into purchasing a weekend crawler to go play in. That way I can keep my 4Runner street worthy. I would join into the truck club if they went that route. I say we still need to keep a 4ROC club dedicated to 4Runners though. I won't be at the meeting you spoke about on the 9th so I wanted to get my 2 shiney pennies worth in. I hope you guys have a blast down there.

Personaly I see nothing wrong with having the trucks in the club.
4Runners and trucks get to join www.tlca.org and 4Runners also get to go on runs with www.ttora.com
Just like many refer to YotaTech as a 4Runner forum, it's not.
It's all Toyota trucks and SUVs.

we wouldn't change the name or anything about it, execpt let a few trucks into the club. it would be a state by state thing. they can all vote and choose what they want to do.
oh yeah guys don't forget to keep your eye on the WA 4ROC for other 4ROC stuff.

Hey Guys,
Sounds like we're getting a pretty good group together. A couple of points:
1) It is technically illegal to have booze at Golden Gardens. Since some members are also under the age of 21, I'm probably going to ask that people keep this event alcohol free. There are certain liability issues that are raised when "clubs" hold events, and someone gets hurt on the way home. So, lets play it safe.
2) As far as the different 4ROC forums, it is getting kind of tough to keep everything together. However, hopefully we'll be getting our ownwebsite, so this will be more of a temporary problem.
3) As far as letting other vehicles become members, thats been discussed in some of the general discussions about putting an international 4ROC club together, and everyone was more or less in agreement that this was a 4Runner only club. Anyone will be welcome to events/trail runs, but only 4Runner-owners can be members. There are other organizations for Tacomas and Landcruisers. Exceptions may be made down the road, but I can't see us allowing other vehicles in, then once the international 4ROC is together, having to kick them out.
4) 2001Millirunner, check out this link for the trail run the next day:
