3rd gen rims on a 2nd gen 4runner???
Hello all,
Well I just got a new 1995 4Runner and love it as I did my old 89.
Here is the issue. I obviously have a 2nd gen Runner however when bought it came with 3rd gen rims and tires.
Great (you would also think), however the caps will not fit on the front due to the front hub coming out about two inchs too far. The caps fit fine on the rear.
Has anyone ever experianced this and does anyone know if Toyota makes a deeper 3rd gen cap for the front so that it may fit on a 2nd gen?
Hope everyone understood that mess. This is a pic of the rims but not on my rig.

Any help would be cool.
Thanks.
Chris

There's a handfull of 2nd gens here that have the 3rd gen rims...I thought it was a straight swap. It looks normal from what I've seen. I'd like to see what you have done. Glad you found a way to make it work...that would drive me nuts!

I can't wait to see the pictures. I really like the 3rd gen wheels and the way they look, I think they would look pretty cool on a second gen. Can't wait to see them! :beaver:
