I used epoxy to hold the inners onto the dead plate. I originally used hot glue, but it didn't stick worth poo...so I went the whole way!! I didn't see that writeup, I just figured I could take it apart and extend the wire, and use some phone cord for the end Im extending. It works, and look sreally nice. Thanks guys!!

When you replied to my tread and gave me this link I looked at it and thought it was awesome. I now have a few questions about it.
You had bought a pipe nipple a Home Depot, and use the bolts to go through it. What does the bolts screw into? Is there a molded plate in the end of the bull bar? The way I see it there are no other brackets or mounts. Two bolts at the end- is that all that holds the bull bar on? I have not seen a bull bar in person so I figured I would ask.
Thanks Mike

You can get it in Black. Ask Jason B, he'll have it in stock, and give you a good price. There are nuts welded into a plate inside the tube about 1/4" in. The Bolts go right into that. It was a very easy install once I figured the spacer/bolts out. Its still as sturdy as ever...and I get alot of compliments on it!
Thanks,
Brett.
Thanks,

Assuming this is going on a 4Runner and is a Safari model...here:
link
I'm not sure if the mounting brackets are the same for a Ultimate model. Give Westin a call and ask.
