Okay,

So, found that the branch may have hit the lines coming out of the tank, maybe the corner of the tank a little. Didn't see any wire problems--will check top panel to tank tomorrow. Wiggled things (Didn't bother to try to start it prior), started right up!

Drove it home, brought it to my mech, we put it on the lift and looked and couldn't really find anything, except some lines were slightly bent (not bad).

Just drove 425 miles, seemed to hesitate on acceleration but on cruise control it was fine. Came home, looked underneath, tried to move the lines back into their holders. Started car up, hesitation under acceleration in-town.

Replaced fuel filter (needed it anyway). Same thing.

Drove to McDonalds, put the hammer down, good acceleration. Seems intermittent.

I'll check the top of the tank tomorrow to see if any bent lines. May be fuel pump? Would this show up on a system scan?

Thanks again,

Kris

I'm looking more and more at kinked lines as being the cause?

After starting, I run through first and 2nd gears, (through the neighborhood) I cannot accelerate and it lugs, tries to rev, but can't. It idles fine.

If I throw the trans in neutral and start to rev it to high RPM's, and then drop it back in drive, the car drives fine throughout the gears, stop and go, highway speeds.

Maybe the kink is initially causing poor fuel flow/air in the lines somehow?

Is there an access panel to the top of the tank from inside?

Thanks,

Kris
