Good build thread! I really like the Red/ black theme that your truck has now looks much better than Red/ Silver IMO

Here is a picture from the car show with the bumper painted black as well.

Hey what did you paint your bumpers, cladding and flares with? I've been wanting to paint my topaz trim on my 2000. Did you remove the bumpers to paint?

Your 01 is my 00 on steroids. I have a set of 265/75 STT's and a 2.5" lift. Keep up the nice work!

I used "Zero Rust" to paint the bumpers, flares, etc.

Just picked up a front diff with 4:88's and an Aussie Locker. Rear 4:88's and locker to come after the new year.

The black bumpers came out really nice. Can you post on how you prep the parts for paint?

sorry for the late response......

This was my first time painting.... so the prep was not the best...... I used some scuff pads to scuff up the areas where I was going to paint... then rubbed some acetone along the areas as well... and then started painting.

I painted all of the black portions back in July and August (if I remember correctly) and the paint is starting to chip off. So I will more than likely be re-doing all of the paint over this next summer (with better prep of course, like primer and a better sand/scuff job).
