oneIwilly's 1991 ex cab pickup Build-up Thread

This is the truck that I traded a chineese AK47 for.
Ifs
V6 rear
Chevy 350 in the bed
Turbo 350 in the bed
NP203 and 205 in the bed
GM dana 44 and 14 bolt on the trailor in back of the truck
Shot 33's
Pretty much a half finished,tweeker built piece of crap.

oneIwill 1991 ex cab pickup Build-up thread

The dana 44 whack job.Cut it down 4 inches and adjusted pinion and caster.Ended up with 3 degrees pinion and 5 caster.

Heres it done with chev flat tops and ballistic hi-steer arms.

Front end

Notice that my spring hanger has two mounting points.Since this pic I have moved the springs to the forward holes.

Rear 63"s

Got my hands on a set of chevy 63"s.Then I cut off the stock rear spring hangers.I made these,and moved the mounting hole forward 8.75".

swapped a 4.56 pod for 4.10 to match the front

Engine

Well,thats where im at for now.This is the engine, hurry rigged into place.I wanted the weight in so I could set-up the suspension.I will remove it and make it pretty before I drive her.I got this truck for a 600$ gun.I decided to try to build it as cheap as possible.I have about 400$ in cash in this truck.Please keep this in mind before you slay me lol.More to come.......

OneIwilly, did you do the 350 swap or did it come that way? Mine is getting a 4.3 v6.

It has temporary motor mounts in it,im going to redo them soon.Yea,I did it but dont tell anybody.

I was thinking of 350 swap but the v6 was cheap, + I have 2 4.3's

Heres the deal, with a 350, you have the distributor in back and the radiator in front.What im going to do is beat the crap out of the firewall,for the distributor.And run a 68 vet 327 super short water pump.Hopefully After that a huge radiator will fit too.

You could move the radiator to the rear bed? Also I read that it's a good idea to add on body lift on 350 swaps. Keep us posted and picture along the way.

It has a 3 inch body lift.Also another option is , if you look at the picture of the finished dana 44, back in the corner is a buick aluminum v8.I would really love to figure out how to hook that to a toyota 5 speed.

I dont believe so,its buick olds pontiac pattern.As in old jeep stuff will work.
