My fuel pump and headlight relays are with the blocks as well. Eventually I'll rebuild the headlight relay and tie into the block that houses the GM fuel pump relay (there's room for 2 circuits).

Once I had the motor up and going I found out real quick that I needed to wrap and reroute my fuel line. So some heat wrap and a little massaging cleared up anymore potential vapor lock issues.

Now having the motor plumbed and wired up really didn't mean squat if I couldn't move it!!! So after ditching the stock Toy tranny and transfer case, this is what we were left with...

New shifter and soon to be center console...

I built the frame outta some 1x2 and tabbed it to the body. Soon we are gonna skin it with some sheetmetal and fab in my rear window switch. Should be plenty of room to add a master killswitch too. When I get around to making the center console I'll post more pics of it.

Shifter mounted and hooked gave me the ability to put her in gear but still needed a driveshaft!!!! Now idk why I didn't get a pic of it before I installed it but I was pretty amped to have the beast moving under her own power even if it still was open headers lol I'll take a pic of the shaft in the am. I had a very reputable shop make the shaft I needed. P.S. if you want a proper driveshaft these are the guys to go to "The Machine Shop" Chino Valley, AZ.

Sorry bout the double post... A quick trip around the block confirmed that I desperately needed my exhaust made lol. So we picked up some 2 1/2" aluminized tubing and had some pieces bent for us and tackled the new y pipe to spin tec system.

I've almost got everyone up to speed here, I've only as of recently rebuilt my bumpstop mounts and added my mirrors which I will post too but I've managed to rack up a good 1500 miles so far so I figured it was ok to take her on a nice slow crawl up to a local lookout...

GD double posts!! Grrr. Anyhow, I took it SUPER easy because my bumps weren't on yet and the upper and lower crossmember still need to be built before I go beating on it yet. But man you can really tell the difference in power now. Pretty decent incline on washed out terrain and 1st crawled nice and smooth.

Alright so I'm pretty much out of fuel for more posts but I will try to get more up tomorrow but I'll leave everyone with a shot of full bump while setting up the new bumpstops

Stay tuned

Ok so I forgot a few things we did before the bumpstops. As you can see in the earlier posts the air cleaner is right in front of the radiator which isn't ideal but I couldn't justify at the moment spending a couple hundred dollars on relocating it to the cab right now. So I had Justin make a mount and a splash/cooling shield. We also did some modifications under the hood which I'll post pics of when it's finished.

Also the stock steering stabilizer was in the way of the crank position sensor on the motor so since I needed to relocate it I decided to replace the stocker with a rancho unit I had laying around. Super simple install and the handling was greatly improved.

I also made a cool little battery hold down just gotta finish the other side of it, shouldn't take me long.

PCM and coolant res. mounted. Still need to clean up some of the wiring on this side but almost finished.

Alright so onto the bumps. Like I stated earlier I had my stops off the side of the frame which proved to be no bueno. So I cut em off and now that the new motor is in I know what kinda space I was workin with. Instead of payin more money for another set of cans I just made my own.

Finally got around to putting my mirrors on

Still gonna add some reinforcement but at least this keeps me legal.

Alright at this point I think I've posted everything I have so far, still gotta get a pic of the driveshaft and there is still plenty to do that is picture worthy so as I get it done I'll try to post pics. Gonna try to get some go pro footage up soon too

Got started on the shock tower brace yesterday. This would have been sooo much easier without the GD brake booster/mc in the way!!! But I made it work.Made the mounting point first. Gonna plate it off soon.

You can see how tight the mount is to the mc, just enough room to remove the mc if needed to be replaced.Last night i finished the mounts and bent the tubing for the brace. Today I got the brace tuned and tacked in. Super tight over the motor and just enough room to still close the hood.

Some plate and shes ready to come off so I can weld her out. Will post more pics tonight of it separated and welded.

Finished the brace. Luckily had enough gas to finish it out oops. I guess the gussets will have to be done another day.˟

Brace separated from its mounts

All welded out

Installed back on the truck

Gonna take her out tomorrow for a little test run, will try to get some go pro footy to post.˟

Finished gusseting the bump stops yesterday. Used 3/16 to tie my shock tower brace to the shock hoops and also served as a landing plate. 3/16 box to tie the bump cans to said landing plate. Should prove to be pretty stout.˟

Should hopefully have some decent side work comin in soon, if so gonna get started on the roll cage. And since I'm on that note, I have myself a new rearend coming soon too˟˟I found my pops a GM 14 bolt for his jeep so I'm getting his Dana 44 loaded!! New Yukon grizzly locker, chromoly axles, disc brake conversion whole nine yards. But ˟before the new rearend goes in and 4 link built I need to have the cage done so keeping my fingers crossed lol.
