I am still waiting on the call back for the 315 STTs.
I had to call Cooper direct and get the item# so the local dealers could call the wholesaler....I knew more than they did....

MOD #4 (CB radio)
Update time!
I recently installed a CB radio system. I went with the good old ash tray mount, but used the stock screws that held the ash tray bracket rather than tape or velcro. It's extreamly secure and sits flush.
I used:
-Cobra 19 DX III CB radio
-Fire Stick antenna mount
-3' Firefly antenna
-Antenna spring
-Cobra High Gear power mic
-Barjan Loudmouth jr. external speaker
-Right angle coax adapter
-Barjan plastic mic mount
Here are some pics:
Radio mounted.
Another view, sits flush.
I find this to be a good location for the mic.
Here is the High Gear mic.
This is the external speaker, mounted with velcro, highly recomended.
This is how the antenna bracket is mounted.
Very good mount, does not rub, I painted mine black.
The cable goes behind the tail light (I cut a notch) and back through the interior with the stock wiring up to the radio coax plug
I also have th PA hooked up (loads of fun) it is the white thing twords the top of the slit in the bumper with the red/black wire infront of it. It is a weatherproof 10 watt speaker, mounted in my TJM bumper.
And here is what the antenna looks like, the one of the drivers side is for the CB, the other one is for the scanner radio.
The power is supplid through my extensive aftermarket aux wiring harness, but there is still a little bit of alternator whine, I may add a filter.
Everything was about $100 (radio was free) and works great. I can talk and listen easily on the road and trail (and yell at people in parking lots). If you don't have a CB you don't know what you are missing.
That's all for now,
Lamm

MOD #5 (Husky Liners)
Husky Liner brand floor mats are by far the best ones out there. If you go to the beach, have snow where you live, wheel your 4x4 or just hate getting impacted dirt in your carpet, you need these.
I got mine from a member here for a heck of a good price. If you buy them new, Cabela's is a good place. Performance Products also offers package deals.
They come in 3 colors, grey, black and tan. The tan is more of a manilla color though, so I opted to go with black. They look fine, and compliment the many black interior pieces in 4Runners. Also, when I get my Wet Okole seat covers, they will match those well.
Installation is a snap, just take out the old carpet, put in the Husky Liner and you are done.
I also had to trim mine behind the gas pedal. The auto/3.0 needs a good wide open throttle to pass, and it was just too hard to press through the carpet and the Husky liner, so it got the chop. Also very easy to do. Just make sure you trim far enough around so that the pedal does not get stuck behind the Husky liner after you floor it (don't ask me how I know)
You can also mod your Husky liners. I put a small fire extinguisher on the driver's side and a 2 D-Cell Mag Lite on the passengers side.
The fire extinguisher is a small unit from Performance Products that uses a foam agent and is rated for AB and D class fires. It is not very big though, just enough for small, incipient fires. I also have a big AFFF unit in the back.

The Mag-Lite is mounted with the Mag-Lite brand clips, you can get them at Zbattery.com. http://www.zbattery.com/
Just use the Mag-Lite clips or extinguisher bracket as a template to drill holes in the back lip of the Husky liners, and use a machine screw with a lockwasher and nut to secure them.
At under $100, this is a must do mod. I will soon get a second row seat liner and cargo area liner.
Here are some pics.

MOD #6 (More 12 Volt Power!)
It sucks having a single 12 volt power outlet. The position of it also sucks.
In order to run GPS, cell phone, fridge, inverter, etc. all at once, I installed a 12 volt power strip.
I purchased a 3 outlet model made by Bell at Wal-Mart for about $12.
It has a switch with an LED power light and came stock with a coiled cord with a cigar plug. I cut the coiled cord and plug off and hard-wired it into my aux. equipment wiring harness system. It is fused at 10 amps and wired with 14 AWG copper wire.
I mounted mine on the passenger side transmission tunnel with 2 sheet metal screws. Very easy, and very practical. It is wired hot all the time, so I can run stuff when I don't even have the keys in the ignition, and I can turn it on and off with ease. I also cleaned it up a little by covering the wire with some 1/4" split loom made by Taylor.
It is a good quality product for all your 12 volt gizmos, highly recomended.
Here it is.

Thats the flashlight :-) nevermind
I agree, I still have the single one, but I did rewire it so its hot, and now use the stock 12v power to run my CB so its switched.
I really like that, might go on the list of to-do's..not that I need more crap in my reg cab :-)

Hey Lamm, 2 things- your Maglite and fire extinguisher- are they mounted through the mats into the sheet metal, or just to the mats?
And didja have to upgrade your alternator to handle the extra load from all the extra electronics (light bar, etc.)??
Nice looking ride, BTW. Hope my 4Runner looks that nice when I'm done...

MOD #7 (Aux. Map Lights)
The stock dome and map lights are bright, too brigh to drive with and sometimes not aimed where you need them to be.
I installed 2 aux. map lights to aid in seeing and using equipment and for map reading (of course!)
The first one is an el cheapo interior light from Advanced Auto Parts that I re-lamped with a 6 LED festoon buld (Red in color). It is attached to the bottem of the CB to illuminate the scanner radio and Sirius radio that will be installed directly below it.
The second is a hella brand map light from Susquehanna Motorsports (the best place online to get Hella lights, period). It is a flexable gooseneck model, has a built in switch and comes with a white and red lense, I am using red in the intrest of night vision. It is mounted to the center dash pannel. You have to drill 3 holes, 2 for screws, 1 for the wires.
Link to Susquehanna Motorsports: http://www.rallylights.com/
Both lights are wired into the stock dashboard lighting circut (via the now non-existant ash tray light) so they are dimable along with the rest of the dashboard and if you want, automaticly come on with the headlights. Both lights have switches though, so you can set them up any way you please.
I am very pleased with both lights. I leave the LED one set to ON so it come on with the headlights, the Hella one stays off untill I need it.
Here are some pics.
The el cheapo LED light below CB.
Here is the Hella map light, it cost about $30, well worth it.
The red lense provides for easy on the eyes illumination at night.
