Well, its all set, SAW 25mm T-Bars, I ended up going with Downey HD coils, OME shocks and steering damper. Tires are in, they are sweet too!

Now I need to get my days laid out, install, tires, steering rod recall (for alighnment!).

Thankfully I don't think it will be an issue. This is my 4Runners first winter in Ohio, it was a TN truck. When I got it the frame was clean enough to eat off of, so the first thing I did was have it rust proofed and undercoated by a professional. If Cain Toyota tries to give me the run around I will just take it to Ganley in Akron.

Actually I got more than $5000. The adjuster came to my house, used a program on his laptop to create a value and then I was given more money for things that were destroyed that were not in the "computer".

Thats all there is to it, State Farm is good to me.

First up was repairing a little "trail damage", removing the running boards and installing the Bushwhacker Extend-A-Fender fender flares. Here are some pics:

Here are some pics after I removed the running boards and mudflaps and added the fender flares. They were taken inside the fire station I work at. Can you wash your truck in the winter, inside, with hot water and get paid to do it?

Curious what you think of the Coopers. Those are hugely popular in Australia. Thinking of trying them on my JGC when the BFG AT's wear out.

Cebby, first off, a stock SR5 rim with out lugs and a cap is 21.4 pounds. Secondly, I love those tires. They were about the same price as BFG MTs. I don't know if they would be exactly what you are looking for for the Jeep. They are an all out mud tire with big open lugs, road hum and the normal handling quirks.

Cooper as a brand makes an excellent product. The tires are very well made and durable. I have herd they are built on the same carcas as the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ or MTZ???

I have not been wheeling persay yet, going on the 29th I hope but the other day I was dragging some telaphone poles through a fiels and on diret 2 tracks and the tires worked very well. They work better in dirt for sure than my old BFG ATs, and other than noise I would rank them the same as a BFG AT in on road driving.

You may look into other Cooper models. dealers are few and far between (mostly because I live 20 minutes from Akron) but are a great quality tire.

What a transformation...Runners look great stock but what a difference some aftermarket stuff can make, I'm always shocked by it.

I was thinking about being a firefighter but I didn't think they got paid very much...might be rethinking that now! LoL.

How do you like the STT??

I am thinking about getting a set in 315/7-/16.
They are 11.9" wide instead of 12.5" and 34.5" tall.
I love the look and the reviews, however, I am leary about a tire brand I have never owned before.

Nothing wrong with Coopr tires, just hard to find (at least near Akron).

I can only comletely compare them to BFG ATs.

On the street they are louder, but thats about it. Handling, ride, etc. same and very tolerable for anyone who has run an MT tire. They are not as good as ATs in snow, but better than most MTs. I have had no unreasonably bad experiances with hydroplaning. If you have an off road tire, you just can't expect to blast through water OK. Overall, 3 stars for on road driving.

Off the road they are very good. They gripmud and ledges, even wet grass very well. The lugs clean themselves easily and the sidewalls provide plenty of extra traction. I have not been in "rocks". They do pick up a lot of junk (gravel) and fling it out but that is to be expected. I am going wheeling in Wellsville Sat. so I will be able to form a more complete opinion then.

In the winter weather they are good as well. Not as good as BFG ATs on snow covered roads, but they grip well on snow and ice and stop well too. The siping (not found on most MTs) helps out with this a lot. In deep snow they work great.

The overall quality and construction is as good or better than BFGs. It has a 3 ply sidewall, and a tough yet flexable compound. The molding is excellent with no flash and good form, etc. I have had no problems with tire balancing or mounting.

I would buy them again as of now. #1 downside is lack of avalibility and dealers.
