Im not sure how it is really suppose to work. I think my stock carrier is missing a piece. I was just going to jimmy rig some electrical wire and tie that to the tire and frame

Pulled these off. Thinking on silver background with red lettering or merica colors

The stock carriers on these trucks is a little chain hoist, worked by rotating a square ended rod in the it's socket. I have always been really pleased with this design. The newer ones are a cable winch type but work the same. If the mounting bolt holes are the same, you can likely pull one out of any old Toyota and put it in there. If you remove yours, let me know what the hole pattern is and I'll tell you if the newer model winches will fit. I've got one here in my shop from a 2000. You can get a 31-10.50 under there if you were wondering.

On your B Pillar badges, I think you ought to keep the black and gold but I bet red would look good on the Toyota part. I did mine a while back and found it was really tough to get the silver to really pop. I used a paint pen on all of mine. If I did it again, I think I would use a detail brush for the silver because it's so tough to get a paint pen to deposit enough paint in that tight place. It looked perfect until I laid the black over the back and then you could see that the silver layer was pretty thin. Gold did turn out real well. The key to the whole thing is the finish of the acrylic. Got to get it right or no paint job will make it look great.

Thanks for the tips on the tire carrier. I will get under the truck sometime this week or weekend and see whats up. It is really rusty so now knowing how it works cleaning it up may make it work. Also the side pieces that gold and black does look clean. I wasnt sure how I was going to do it but it sounds like I need to get some pens and brushes and get my art on haha.

so the shocks on my 4runner are wrecked. Ive been ooking around and these dont seem like a terrible deal. I dont know to much about this kind of stuff but my buddy has some one his 93 taco and he says he likes them. Any input on these or another brand would be sick. Thanks.

Installed a full ome kit on mine with nitro charger shocks. They are valved way stiff so I'd stay away from those. I'd look in Bilsteins HDs, going to get them to replace the nitro chargers this summer.

Nothing to fancy. Again on a tight budget. Monroes from oreillys for 110 bucks. First time installing shocks and it worked out pretty well. Its crazy how new shocks can basiclly turn your car into a completly different car.

Do you have to get a whole new system? Or is it just a adjustment?

Um...the steering Stabilizer is the horizontal shock on the front of your truck. It keeps your steering from going all wibbly wobbly.

So right now my new 22re has 3500 miles on it im doing a oil change this weekend. Ive been running vavoline 10w-30 with a wix filter. Ive been told by some people that synthetic would be a better route the conventional. If thats the case at how many miles should I run synthetic? Just thought I would ask because you guys on here seem like you know the most about these motors. Thanks
