I actually dont mind the factory toyota red. But this is a gross mix between red and pink. And the whole thing is peeling and completely oxidized. The last owner did a horrible job painting it too and didnt mask much off

I thought about going Black. My last car was black and I didnt really car for it too much. It looked nice when it was just washed but it never washed. Besides in California black is way to hot. Im thinking a dark grey

Update!
I finished painting my frame today. Im very happy with the results. I just wire brushed everything and then had sanded a few areas. I used an old spray and it worked great. I covered the whole underside and even did the inner fenders.
Its not really red. Just the reflection from being so shiny

Did you use a spray gun or is this rattle can? It turned out pretty darn good and I will be doing a lot of frame and axle painting during my "4Runner conversion". What kind of paint did you use? I was considering spray can bed liner for my frame and axles.

I did indeed use a spray gun. It actually came out better than I expected. I used semi gloss black tractor enamel. I plan on doing a light coat of that ruberized undercoating to top it off

Update time:
This past weekend I pulled the engine. The thing was rusted to hell. All the water pipes were packed solid with rust. I am definatly going to need a new heater core. I have a feeling the PO ran straight water for quite some time.
Well onto the pictures

Got some more work done this past weekend
The interior is all gutted and sanded and ready to be painted.
The plan is to paint the inside and door jams at home and then get the truck running and then bring it to the paint booth at work.
Oh and btw sanding that red paint sucks. The dust gets everywhere!
Onto the photos:
