The scoop was also there when I bought her it is functional he cut a hole in the hood...I am going to build a new hood for her one of these days but just don't have the time right now my new house is keeping me busy!!

Got the stock air box installed and ready to start modding the old one for the half a@# snorkle idea i came up with...and i also scored a couple doors off an 83' to make half doors for her still looking on here for half door build threads but they are few and far between...i did find a good idea for making them quick release doors so that will be part of the project will get some pics up this weekend

They are sec. gen doors little different than mine they don't have wing windows...the trucks door tag said late 83 and as far as i knew the body didn't change that year but it is the right body style. and thanks for the tips on the threads i'll check em out

Man the truck looks nice. I love the little side steps. I have been planning on getting some of those for my 85 pickup. Is the air scoop on the hood functional?

yea the scoop is functional but I put a stock air filter housing back in it...the guy before me had a cluster F*@& system set up that i couldn't keep sealed on the trail it would snap the studs on the carb all the time so the scoop really doesn't serve a purpose now

That sounds like the wiring going to the rear lights on my truck's "bed". The guy I bought it off of made his own bed (sort of) and then wired little lights on the back for turn signals and break lights. The wiring needs some TLC and the bed itself could use some work to make it look better. Anyways, how is the truck coming?

little update on the old girl...the aisin carb took a s*i% on me throttle stuck wide open then started running real rich...looked up as many threads as i could here big THANK YOU for all on this forum there is everything you need to know about a yota here...I messed with it all this week with no good results even rebuilt it...I have a 32/36 weber on the way will be here tuesday already have the egr crap pulled holes plugged ready for her new lungs! i have read a ton of threads about this and everyone says wow thats a ton of stuff but seeing it first hand is still impressive

Well she blew a head gasket had to tear her down the head needs machined still but I got a few photos of the carnage and I discovered a .22 caliber casing in #3 cylinder I also got my new tool box put in new black mirrors and my gas can mounted
