Ya I'm not sure what happened. They are just like what's on the truck now only 10" wide and powdercoated black but I think I'll paint them an off white

That's what I was thinking ed. I really like the utilitarian look of steel wheels. This is gonna be my workhorse.

Thanks man. I'm excited to get it home this weekend. The toughest part is gonna be trying to stay focused on the toyota and not spending all my time on this lol. On a side note I named the ford Betty haha. Seems fitting.

The 74-79 Fords are my favorite domestic trucks. One of these days I will have one. Just great looking body styles. I really like the way the dash is set up in them as well. Motors are easy to work on as well. I have seen the inlne six cylinder to 429s in them.

I love the old fords. I used to own a 76 high boy f250 with a 390 and 4speed with granny low, and the divorced t-case. I miss that thing so bad.
Hopefully I'll get another one some day.

That would've been a sweet truck to have! The anticipation of getting mine home is getting to me. 2 more days!

Got the truck home today. 4 1/2 hrs round trip and didn't have time to get my car before work so had to drive the truck to work lol. Pretty nervous about it cuz the tires are 35 years old lol. Truck runs great and handles suprisingly well. Gonna be a little nerve racking on the way home at 11 pm.

Glad your ford is running good for you! Did you make it home from work ok on those tires? Lol.

The only drawback to having 2 cool trucks is your going to have a hard time deciding which one to spend your money on!

Ya made it home ok lol. The ford is probably going to get the attention first just cuz I need it for this winter. Mainly needs tires, some brake work, and maybe window seals if I can find them cheap. Got a buddy with some 33" super swampers he has no use for so those may be going on soon.

Oh I will when it happens! It's going to be epic, you'll see why! Bahaha. Swampers will only be temporary til I can afford slightly less aggressive tires. I've already got visions of ruling the local truck n tractor pull next summer.

Well picked up these wheels and tires for the truck this week. Got em from a friend for a lil bit of labor. Put about 75 miles on them and had one start to come apart.

Thennnnn I finally got my buddy with the swampers tied down to a price. Traded a load of wood and a case of beer (that I got to help drink) for them. I think they look great on the truck, green wheels and all!

Not much of an update but I decided to take the kids for a cuisine around the farm in the yota. The dirt road was wetter than it looked but by the time I realized it we were too far into it to turn around. Made it thru without much problem. I was sweating it tho cuz the truck doesn't have a front driveshaft haha. Kids had fun at least.

Looks like a fun time. Kids look like they are having fun by the looks of their faces in the window. Always nice to play around in some mud.

Looks like we are getting some cold weather coming our way and headed out to you. Been raining and getting colder all morning.
