1985 xtra cab build
I wish I took a pick of what she looked like when I first bought her but I didnt. Anyways I found the truck in west Virginia chillin in some guys front yard covered in halloween props and hay bails. I went up to the door and bought it for $600. It was an all original 85 22re sr5. I was stoked. The bed was shot as well as the fenders and it looked like complete sh#t but the frame, motor, cab, and tranny were perfect.

Now i had been searching for this truck for a solid year because living in ohio these things are few and far between. But on this fateful day, not but 3 miles from my home, i spot another 84 for sale in someones yard! It was in rough shape, frame is shot, but it had a fiberglass bed and good fenders. I called off work, had the girlfriend pick me up, and bought it for $700.

And after all that work I got rear ended. but her insurance cut me a check for 2500 so it looks like 35s lockers and 5.29 will be on there way very soon.

Thanks I was surprised to get that much as well. I haggled with the adjuster told him I just bought the bed and would need 2500 to replace it. They accepted.
