I sold the 22RTE, R151F, and transfer case off the black truck for 800, with the cab sold for another $200. I at least managed to break even on the white truck (first time ever), but the build as it was is now gone.
I may be picking up an 85 4runner this week tho.
It's mainly gonna serve DD/mild wheeler duty tho. Pics of said runner:

Well the guy still hasn't came and picked up the cab so the build is still on hiatus.
This gives me plenty of time to brainstorm for this build though since I'll likely be done with welding school by the time its finished up so it opens a realm of possibilities.
Here are a few I've come up with:
1.) Do a resto-build: Repair the cab, put a fiberglass bed on, and build it up a bit for off-road, keeping the 22r
2.) Repair the cab, but get a fiberglass bed and a topper and make it WALK-THROUGH. A walk-through 1st gen would be badass. Possibly swap to a diesel or something.
3.) Build a truggy. Possibly tons, try to keep the body clean though.
4.) 4x4 camper. Put a camper shell behind the body and make this thing 4x4. May be difficult and may require tons for more stability. Diesel swap is possible. Also walk-through is possible.
I will make some drawings of what each will look like and upload them. Edit: Just use your imagination.
Going back through my build I feel incredibly dumb for not just putting a rebuilt engine in from the start. Took another 1st gen off the road due to my damn perfectionism. I'll get it back on the road eventually though.
