I know, I believe he still has it but the other half doesn't let me have it. My wife says my truck takes enough away from the beauty of our house, she just doesn't understand! Lol

Awesome truck! I wish mine was an SR5, I love the looks of those factory stripes on the charcoal grey!... My 83' is the same color, but my dad replaced the box, so I eventually want to paint it to match the cab. Look forward to seeing your truck when you get the lift done!

Ordered a weber carb, front lift, now to find wheels and tires. I'm thinking something like the stock whites but weighing the pain of cleaning them against just buying a set of black wheels

White wagon wheels look awesome.. Totally classic and period correct. Black is too cliche nowadays and they won't contrast near as well as the white will on your gray truck.

Lifted the front end this morning, not as easy as I thought! Need to find something for the rear. Now debating if I'm up to installing the weber carb I bought

Had to stop due to darkness, a couple of questions, do I use the wires that where connected to the stack carb? Also the two metal hoses on the outside of the distributer, where do I route those? Any tips will be appreciated, because I have to finish by monday

Take it apart, clean it and replace the springs. Mine wasn't returning well so I replaced what springs I could find and heated up the main spring and bent it back to a higher tention. Also, make sure that you have not over tighted the throttle linkage on the weber as it will bind up if too tight.

thanks for the advice, it never crossed my mind to heat up the main spring, i will try that this weekend. I sprayed WD40 on everything and worked the throttle back and forth and it has made a difference. Thanks for the tips!
