Question 1982 4X4 transsmition

I am looking to purchase a rebuilt transmition and transfer case. I am located in upstate New York. Can anyone point me in a direction that one can be found? I have cores.
Thank you for your help

I'm actually going to have to do something with mine in my 81 4X4. Mine is still drivable, but has very loud gear noise in all gears. I might give Marlin Crawler a try. https://www.marlincrawler.com/transm...built-complete

My 81 is getting really bad. I parked it last year, but started driving it again this winter. Not only is the tranny bad, the frame is rusty. It needs some love. Now the transmission is getting locked in 4th gear.

I just did both the transfer case and transmission on my 83. Both are pretty basic and easy to deal with, more so on the transfer case. I would say any competent rebuilder should be able to do a good job, no need for the specialist. My shop just does autos for retail customers and no bench jobs.
