Hey guys I am alive!!!!

Just been busy with winter projects and am guilty of not checking back on this thread. For that I'm sorry. I've only received one email from someone and I responded that I was trying to figure out when I can start production. The last couple of years these didn't sell really well in the winter so my interest ventured elsewhere. I be figuring out the cost this weekend and begin to gather up supplies. Man you guys are making me take me top off early it's still in the low teens here .
One problem I see is packaging. When I include the bow, I have to make the box and it takes a good amount of time plus I lost my source for large pieces of cardboard. Luckily my local Post Office is letting me slide a bit on the size which keeps your price down.
I need to know how many of you are interested in these. With or with out bows. I'll try to talk to Windrock to try and get you guys a better price on the tops. If not, I'll call around and price shop for you.

Again, I apologize for leaving you guys in the dark. I really do appreciate you interest. I will be checking back .
Mike

I'll start a list.

Ah, Encinitas. I graduated from San Dieguito H.S. years ago.

For those of you on a budget, You can save about $25.00 by making your own bow. That's a savings from parts and additional freight due to the size of the box. I can give measurements out for the bow to those who are willing to try. Just a thought.

MAN- Go figure! I'm almost done with this too!! But hey, glad to hear you're still alive & working on the 'Runner still!
As you might have read, I've got a friend (who's a canvas / upholstry guy) helping w/ mine. But progress has been kind of SLOW though since I have to drive 1hr just to get to this shop.

Could you use a support bow from a Heep? Like the one on the very back? (in green)

Or is it too tall?

Thanks for all the help!!

If you're going to mount the bow between the roll bar and cab then yes it's probably too long. You can make one out of 1/2" electrical conduit (EMT). You'll just need to buy a 1/2" conduit bender from lowes, (inexpensive), Bend your 'u', flatten the ends then drill holes to mount to roll bar.

4xJedi:

I'd like to order a full kit (w/ bow). You may get more interest in your product this time around, as those of us who had been planning on buying a Can_Back are now out of luck since the company is out of business. Anyway, my zip is 20817. I'll check back on this thread for updates.
