i have run the cooper stt with 10 psi quite a bit on the trails, geart tire, in a 285/75/16, perfect size with 3in or so lift.

Its been a week since I ordered mine, still havent gotten them. Looks like this is a rrrrreally popular tire on the rise, so that is what its taking awhile.

I ordered the same size - CANT WAIT!! How much did yours run? i bought 5 with steelies - $1560 (no tax oregon has something cool about it)

54" Boggers that is crazy FullXTR. I run 35" BF MT and love them. They are quiet and killer in the Mud. Thats my choice. I hate the whine of the boggers.

It all comes down to personal preference and you have to ask yourself how much your going to be wheeling, but since you asked...

For me its going to be Revos on the street and TSLs on the trail. Wet traction and multi-purpose use of the Revos will keep me coming back no matter what they look like for a mostly street/snow tire. When driving on the street every inch counts when it comes to stopping distance. IMHO the best all around tire for someone that uses their truck as a DD with occasional off road trips. Yes, they might not look as aggressive as others but when I need to slam the fat pedal I don't care what they look like.

On the other hand, if you wheel quite a bit I would honestly get another set of cheap wheels and throw something crazy like TSLs on them. That way you can run a cheaper, smaller, much lighter tire with a less aggressive tread pattern on the street (rotational unsprung weight is curtail to mpg and stopping distance not to mention maneuverability). That way when it comes time to hit the trail, you can't really beat the toughness of a bias ply. Yes, they are loud and obnoxious, yes it will run like crap until they warm up, BUT the sidewalls are much stronger and when it comes to rocks no radial will flex like it or be able to air down as low. Another nice thing is their ability to hold a bead. I speak from personal experience with this one... The street locks probably helped some, but I was really lucky the last time out. Plus, I kind-of like how loud they are and will throw them on just for the fun of it from time to time. Then there is the whole bit about not wasting soft precious MT rubber while on the street. Though I must say they have gotten better over the years. I guess it really depends on where you drive though...

Just put 285x75x16 nitto grapplers on few weeks ago and so far so good. I used to run bfg at ko 33x12.50 on my old taco and loved them. Can't go wrong w/ either choice in my opinion.

They might fit. And that's the key - might. With a total of 5.5" of lift it seems like you ought to be able to get more than a 33 in there, but I think the restriction is the width, specifically the upper control arm and lock to lock turning. Some new arms and/or offset wheels would do the trick, but it'd be time to regear as well. 34 x 12s would be sweet, though

thinking i might just keep the 285's and get a 1/2 inch body and do some trimming.. dont really like how the frame will stick out on a 2 inch and besides my sliders are already welded on....

1) 285s = I would go straight for the 4.88s, but would be an unnoticable squeak below stock.

2) I would expect gears and master install to run $300 if you install yourself.

Hey everyone I'm kind of stuck trying to find tires and wheels for my '99Runner as well (Stock Suspension). The problem is, one place can get the wheels I want, but not the tires. Another MIGHT get the tires, but not the wheels.... so on, so on.... I got a price quote from online for a shy under
$1500 (Tires, wheels, mounted, balanced, lugs, center caps, everything), but can only ship to a business address....

I'm looking for the best bang for the buck. 90% road, 10% dirt (hoping to change that over time). Also, Shipping up to Alaska for mounted tires and wheels is just shy of $300. That's why I would like to try to get something local. But many places would do the samething I would. Get on the internet and order them (because they don't deal with a certain tire. Then they have to mark it up so it would be cheaper if I just ordered them myself...
