New wheels for 2000 Tacoma... Help!
I'm shopping for new wheels for my standard cab 2wd base model 2000 tacoma... and I have two different people at two different Tire Discounters stores telling me two different things!!!
One said I can get wheels with an offset between 0 to +20, which should work for this wheel right? http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...rw=7&rc=OHCINT
But the other said I can't fit any other wheel unless it's a +40... but no truck wheels come in +40 offset, and I want a truck look. Can anyone help? What would happen if I were to get a wheel with a zero offset?
Also, I currently have 15x8 aftermarket rims on there now (which are "truck" style rims, similar to the ones in the link but chrome colored), the only problem with them is that they stick out too far... but if I can get some nice off-road tires on there, I would love to reuse them (I really like the BFGoodrich A/T look). Would anyone know what kind of tires would fit on these wheels, I've been told that there aren't too many tires that can fit on these wheels... and since I want an off-road look this is a problem...
Sorry about the long post, I'm just really frustrated b/c I know there is a way to get the look I want on my truck but i jsut keep getting inconsistent advice...
