Got them done about an hour ago. So far the rear tires rubbed the front of the rear fender, the fronts rubbed the rear of the front fender and at full droop the fronts contact the upper A arm. I used the BFH mod on the fenders to clear up those issues and am either grinding the A arm (doubtful) or ordering a set of wheel spacers from Wabbit. On that note do I have to space all four wheels or can I just do the fronts?

285/75/16's. They looked HUGE when the Fedex guy delivered them and I was really really worried about the fit. My little ol' bald 31/10.50/15's look tiny sitting in the garage and at the time I bought them I thought they were monsters. *laugh*.

so, using the calculator in my sig....those come up just shy of 33 x 12?

i would think that you have to use spacers on all 4 wheels.

Most say use spacers on all 4 corners. Has something to do with the line that the front and rear wheels will track. And if they are different widths, they will track different lines.

Hopefully someone can chime in and confirm this.

Yes indeed. Treadwright lists them as 33.2/11.4

Nice to know. I was hoping to run a 1" spacer on the front only to clear when I droop a tire. Didn't think about tracking differences from front to rear. I guess another inch in the back wouldn't cause too much of a problem. I really want to keep the track width as narrow as possible.

Torque them down right and keep an eye on them and wheel spacers are fine. Most sassed rigs are running them up front.

I don't think spacing the wheels would cause it to track different but they'd follow a different path... I think it'll look a bit silly though having the front wider than the rear. You will have to watch stuffing the rear being 1" out it may not want to stuff right and hit the top of the fender.

I'm surprised it's rubbing that bad to be honest.

On my 89 I ran only front spacers. I had the 1.5" ones and had no problems running just fronts.
Remember when IFS Cycles the track width changes... Run just fronts and see what you think. I bet you won't notice a difference. But also remember a wider stance will cause your turning radius to be a little wider. Again I never had a problem with mine.

It's not rubbing at all after the BFH. I still need to take it up in the hills and do some flexing but so far it's all clear other than the droop A arm rub on the front. The tires just caught the fenders (like 1/16") when it flexed into the parking lot. I cut and beat some clearance so I'm good until I stuff the crap out of it tomorrow.

I have 1-1/2" spacers on the front only and it does look a little goofy but other that that don't have any problems. I will order a set for the rear soon enough.

I ordered some 1.5" spacers for front and rear and will be installing them this week. I wanted a narrow stance but hate the rub so I've got to push the wheels out a bit.
