90% of my whitewater rafting friends have switched to them, I know they had cold beer on the last day of a recent 21 day Grand Canyon trip. I'm still using the white marine Igloos and have been pretty happy with them but a Yeti cooler is on my must have list.
If you freeze your cooler it will hold ice much longer, put it in a chest freezer overnight and your ice will last considerably longer. foil backed bubble wrap also helps too, cut a piece to fit in the cooler and keep it over your ice and food, it will insulate the food from the warm air in the cooler.

I fill the dead space of the cooler with crumpled up grocery bags, and use the grocery bags as trash bags...
(but not putting the trash in the cooler)

edit: well, you cry about the lost beer, not the cooler.
They have a 3yr warranty and they're based out of Austin. That means I can drive down and rattle some heads if they get silly about a warranty call.

They do also offer a full line of replacement parts and chocks, tie downs and even custom fit aluminum brackets to hold 'em in place on boats. They do cost but they do look like will last quite a long time.

Speaking of coolers
Yes I know it's an old thread but I wanted to post up that I recently bought a 150qt Marine cooler from Rubbermaid for 124$ out the door. It claims 7.5 days of ice cold goodies and since I don't often camp for more than 4 or 5 days I figured it would work out well. That and I can't afford a damn Yeti.
Link although I bought mine at a local sporting goods place.

I tried to get my lady to crawl inside to show how big it is but she didn't take to the idea.....

I know this is an old thread to bump, but if anyone is interested...
I bought a Yeti cooler after our medivac company started getting them issued for the helicopters to keep blood, IV's and the like cold. I'm in the assault company, not medivac, so I didn't personally see it for myself; but those guys were telling me it would keep those things like refrigerator cold, all day long. That's a supremely impressive feat in the back of a helicopter in 140 temps.
I can tell you from my personal experience, my cooler keeps my drinks and food cold for two or three days at a time in the chihuahua desert in the summer time. Plus, they sell lots of nifty items for us that like to drive through rougher terrain, at least as far as their coolers go.
Yeah, they're expensive as all getout. But if you've got the coin to drop on one, I recommend it. Especially if you like road trips or camping trips in your truck or runner.
