2002 3.4 auto into a 1991 3.0 manual
Well im pretty far along on the swap im just getting to the wiring portion of the fun. My donor was a auto 02 so i have plenty of wires to remove most of them are in the engine wiring harness. so yay to that as Ive been laying things out ive noticed my donor had 4 sensors/valves. I have a v4 vsv evap and a v11 vsv canister closed valve that's wired on the engine harness and then I have a v8 vapor pressure sensor and v12 vsv pressure swtiching valve that go from then engine harness into ik6 and then to bn7. to their loaction on the canister which was mounted near the tank. i went my local toyota yard n got a canister but i beleive. a sensor is missing. i did mange to get v12 but i am missing v4 v11 and v8. v8 is a three wire connection while v4 v11 v12 are all 2 wire conections. I'll be able to get the plug ends when I pull the auto stuff out but it looks on most swaps. only 3 vsv's are being used. even the ors has 3 along with evoltas swap n breknraj with 2002 to motor used 3 what am i missing here Does the canister from a 2000 or earlier have all three vsv's on it. I saw some used the original vsv for evap. I guess I could just wire it in and if i dont need it just cap it. Thoughts??

here is a pic of the auto harness most of the plugs and wires near the bottom of the picture will be removed and ill move the plugs for the evap to the other side of the harness so the vsv's mount near their stock location ill leave some room since im going to retain the 91's vacuum cruise control. I have the whole system for the 2002 but its just more wiring n i already have plenty.

Well I got the wiring all sorted out i pulled alot of wires out for sure. I also cannibalized the 1991 harness and stole the 4wd/add wires wired in the additional evap sensors which have yet to be connected as i dont have them. and badda bang badda boom she started up. the auto to manual conversion was totally easy although i think i got lucky on my year as the actual engine to ecu pin outs were exactly the same. I havent got my exhaust on yet the swap has pretty much run the bank dry. I did buy my cats but i havent decided on a muffler yet. I took her out for a spin the other day straight piping man holy crap so much better. i cant wait to have an exhaust she kinda coughs at high rpms straight piping. i havent thrown any codes yet but the odb isnt hooked up along with the mrel for the ecu i figure this must be the always on +b so i think the ecu is reseting everytime. Bottom line dont be too afraid of your auto donor where there is a will there is a way.

Haha so i finally got my cats and exhaust put on. she sounds wonderful but she still gots some issues. i dont have the tac mod done yet but it seems about 3000rpm ish the throttle gets all well best word i can use to describe is wobbly. reving all weird I dont think my ecu is changing the fuel map. my check engine light isnt coming on but i still need to chase were my mrel goes im pretty much thinking this must be for the ecus memory. so far so good i also have the feeling that the evap system will be a pita
