cleaning cylinder head and valve cover

Ok my problem, my truck's aluminam cyl head and valve cover are pretty oxidized. What do I do to clean it up. I would like to get it to shine but with out scrubbing it with a polish. Is there a spray that will clean it up really nice. Its a 90 22re if needed to know.

Buy some naval jelly at you local auto parts store. That clean up oxidation pretty nicely. You can also use some iron wool to scrub away the ozidation. It's labor intesive and you have to make sure the inside is absolutely free of fibers before reinstalling. Then paint it with a rust inhibitor.
