Ok ya'all (Especially Rob),

Here's the first vid of our Tinkham run.

Heres the night shot of Rob's pucker decent. I didn't edit any of it. I felt it was all worth seeing. I also had to keep the vid quality high due to it being shot in night vision.

I have a few more vids of Jowie, David and Mark on the hillclimb but Im running late for a night out.

I'll get to it tonight though. A view pics to come as well.

Enjoy

The file is 9.12mb so PLEASE save it to your computer before you play it. Otherwise it will kill my bandwidth and shut my site down. Thanks!

That was AWESOME. Mad flex going on there. I wish I was there. The lights look good Rob. Time for me to go get better lights and more of them. Holy S#!T I just counted how many are going to be at the PNWYJ. 43 Trucks that's alot of trucks. When we do the naches run it may turn in to a night run.

Nice vid, watched it this morning.

You know, I don't really use my bright backup lights I mounted back aft.

After seeing how Rob's lit up the ground like a mothership landing, I bet I can move mine under the frame and extend the + wire a bit and have a nice set that would light up the ground.

Plus it's going to be awhile before I get a rear bumper, and these lights do hang down awfully low, as I have already knocked them a few times.

The rock lights on your rig rock Rob

Hey Gene,
Hope your feeling better and all healed up. Please no more gory details.

Yea it was a kick on the hill climb. Coming down it was a blast.

Hope to see you on the next midday run.

OK. I know some of you MUST have noticed the typo in the Title of Robs night shot video. If you havent, I used the word DECENT rather then DESCEND. I just noticed it this morning.

I thought it was hilarious cause the title is basically saying Rob has a decent pucker. Kinda sick huh.

I was lacking from the night before and was having way too much of this when I was making making vid.

I'll get it corrected tonite...opps tonight. he he

...actually it's "descent"...

And what, no footage of me clawing my way up the climb in 2wd?

Thanks Shane. The vid reflects the correct wording.
Im still laughing my ass off though.

I only have the very beginning of you hill climb. I have one of Jim's as well but I didn't want to offend anyone if they didn't want it to be shown.

AH HA!!.. I knew you guys couldn't have all made it up that. That is one mutha of a hill. I wiped out years ago climbing it (poorly) on a honda bike. Just walking it when its been raining is a real treat.

Anyone bottom out on the berm at the top? How many were stock vehicles (at least open diffs)?

I got the "clunk" at the top...

My suspension and wheels/tires are 100% stock, the tires are a bit short on tread as well. I do have the factory stock rear locker though...

The only thing I've done in regard to getting more ground clearence is to pull the running boards and add sliders. From seeing the scrapes on them the next day, that was a wise thing to do.

You DID miss out That hill climb really made my evening

It's always been under snow when we have been up there Gene. It's clear up at the top and we have not gone that far when you have been along.

I found that hill climb when my truck was almost stock and I was out alone and decided that discretion really was the the better part of valor. I have been wanting to go back and teach it a lesson for some time now that I am a bit better equipped.

We had a good spectrum of rigs that evening. With the clearance, lockers and tires on my rig, the climb was almost a bit pedestrian, just enough to wake me up from the Forest Service road doldrums, but for some of the rigs and some of the newer drivers, I can only imagine what they were thinking when we got to the bottom of it and I was like "WAHOOO! We are SO going up that..."

Shhhh! Nobody tasted the winch, you are just making that up! heheheheh

I think Jim would have made it if he didn't mind really crashing it, but the lack of a locker was really putting the hurt on him.

And your rig... well, it's "recovering". I think you would have made it as well if you were not doing that Pre-Runner thing...
