how easy is the easy trail? Is it noob safe? If so, I'd be game! Do I need to be locked? My only trail experience was Cleghorn and I didn't take any alternative routes...

Big Bear can be as easy as you want to make it, there are a varity of trails to run there. I never run Cleghorn but the trail describtion I JUST hear on Friday night was it was a fire road that has a "second road the snakes back and forth across it. the fire road being your basic fire access road and the "second" road being the trail. The trail as it was described to be was there was lots of front end air time. So if you were on the second trail on Cleghorn and had no problem running it then I would say you would be ok to run most of the trails in the Arrowhead/Big Bear backcountry.

I don't think there was any other trails there, just a bunch of side obstacles and stuff. Looks like I will be at Big Bear...
What time does everyone usually meet up at?

Meeting location is TBA until we get can get a pretty good headcount on how many will show. If everyone is coming up saturday morning, I'm thinking we can meet up at a large parking lot so people can find everyone. I'm suspecting 9am meet time would be ideal.
Depending on who's attending, we'll decide on the final trail routes accordingl. The harder group will be doing: Gold Mountain, John Hull, Holcomb Creek (sliders and some lift and you should be fine. I've seen a 3rd gen w/ no sliders and a lift make it thru carefully w/o any problems so we should be in good hands as we'll have some great spotters joining us.) The rookie route will be TBA as I need to get a better idea of who's doing what.
Here's a tentative list: (Please copy and modify accordingly if you are a "yes" for sure)
Yes:
Good Times - Lance - 03 4runner
Bob_98SR5 - Bob - 98 4runner
Compass Creek - Dennis
Phalanx - Josh - 94 4runner SAC
ecchamberlin - Eric - 01 4runner
txkndu - Joe - Stock FZJ80 f/r Lockers 285s
i_rifiyu - Adel
Maybe:
Nitro-Hotpants - Casey - 3rd gen 4runner SAC
Calrockx - Charles - 02 4runner
Expat - Mark - 04 4runner
Grimpy - 00 4runner
As we get closer (i.e. 7 days out), I'll finalize the details so everyone is ready for this run. Let's hit the trails!

Last time I did the Gold mtn trail a Taco's 4wd went out so he did most of it 2wd and only needed to be straped half a dozen times which is not bad considering it is a longer trail. There is a rock garden also on that trail that looks a lot harder than it is. There is a bypass but nobody but the broke Taco needed to take it.
