Ahh, ok....makes more sense now.
We can take over the sand drags and have a competition of our own. Should make for some interesting pics and videos!

Should that be "I will have to use stock low"??

Hey, I just thought of something...you pre runners with the locker might want to think about doing the blue wire or grey wire (whatever) locker mod. That way you can use your locker at any speed.

Johnson Valley is not that far away big boy. So..... You want to play with the Arizonan's?
It won't be pretty............................................ IFS with a sting.
Pretty much Colorado is out, it is if I want to drive 9 hours or not at this point. 9 hours is a long time ...........................................
So I guess you want me to bring the 4Runner not the FJ-62.

I'd love to get out to AZ some time. It would be alot of fun, defintiely something I need to do before I ever move out of Cali!
I keep watching the weekend web faires for the airlines too. Maybe if there's a cheap one to AZ (or WA for that matter too), I'll hop on a plane and come out and ride shotgun.

All signed up and barely have a clue how to find the place. Got all month to figure out my route though.
Anybody from the Sacto area heading down want to meet somewhere and possibly setup meeting spots for others on the way and do a caravan type thing?

We'll send out directions later. You have the choice of going down the 5 to the 46 and cutting across to Paso Robles, or you can go through the Bay area and hit the 101. Either way is pretty boring, with the Bay area way slightly more scenic.

Heh, the only fun things about I5 is being able to cruise 80-85 and not having to worry about the CHP and making fun of Los Banos when ya drive by.
I've actually always envied people who live there. Takes a rather strong person to tell people you live in the toilet and like it there.
I'm thinkin I'll probably go down 5 and avoid the whole bay area mess, unless people in the bay want to caravan down, then I'll deal with the traffic to do that, it'd be more fun that way

Aw, you guys are making me nostalgaic
I went to college at Cal Poly and the Pismo dunes were a favorite hang out. And talk about fires! We drew a bit of attention with our "Extreme Huge Fire" party. Two full size truckloads of wood and two gallons of gasoline later you couldn't get within 20 feet of the 15 foot high flames! I think we drew every ranger and on-duty beach patrol within a 20 mile radius.
We ended up getting kicked off the beach. Not because of the fire, but because none of us had paid to camp. (If you get there after 11pm there is no one in the ranger booth and you can drive right onto the beach.)
