For those of you with high speed internet. I have almost a gig of vids now at ftp://207.202.208.243:211

When I figure out the video compression, I'll put another folder in there for compressed avi's.

OK, this should help. For those of you that want full MPEG video, use the root folder. Be sure you have a high speed connection and some free time.

Second level is an AVI with sound. About 1/3 the size. Still takes a while, but good quality. Open the folder called AVI.

The last option is full quality video with the sound removed. Dial uppers, this is for you :o) Open the folder called AVI then NO SOUND.

The AVI folder has been fixed. Matt was able to help me convert these file to a much smaller size and we didn't run into the codec converter problem that caused most of these to play the video only.

I deleted the no sound folder.

I saw your buddy taking a lot of video on the trip. I'd like to get a hold of a copy of that tape if he can't get in on a puter. I'm finishing up a trail report with links to all the avi's. I need some names and such to put with the rigs however.

If everyone could pipe up with their name, the rig they were driving and a little bit out them (the rig that is LOL), then I can add it to the trail report.

Hey Gibby,
I was with the other group so you may not have any vids of my rig but I have the white 97 4Runner.
Im unable to get to your FTP site. Keep getting errors. I would be happy to edit your vids and maybe and music and all.

What error message are you getting? I tested the link.

If you get asked for any kind of password, make sure that you choose annomous login.

Did you get any pics and vids? Get 'em up!

I am getting your whole AVI folder now, but I had to stop as my Black Ice firewall blocked you after an hour.

Said I was getting port scans, so it stopped after I was just down to the last 3 vids.

Getting them right now.

Dagnabbit.
I spent over an hour downloading, and they won't play.
I did the AVI folder, and all I get is sound, no vid.

I have the latest Windows Media player version 7.01 too.
It says missing codex and trying to locate them.

Sounds like you don't have the latest DivX codec installed, grab it here (select the blue one on the left and click download) MS's media player can't/won't install this automagically, you have to do it yourself and you may need to reboot (or at least close and reopen media player) after it's installed before it'll work.

Oh ya, don't bother installing their player that they package with the codec, it sucks. Do a custom install and only select the DivX codec.

Mucho thanks Shane, that codec did the trick, and no reboot.
Vids work fine

I guess I should mention that the format I used works best with Real Player...

I just uploaded a pile o pics as well. Same shots but I tried to catch the action shots for those who don't want video.

Shane, when are ya gonna get that winch fixed so that we can get out and play?

I'm working on a late December/Early January run to Tahuya. Depends on when we get lots o rain to make it interesting. This again would be another great trip for ALL rigs.

I have to get Warn the serial number before they'll give me a wiring diagram. I guess there's been some differences over the years in how the solenoid packs are put together. Only problem is I can't see the damned serial with the winch in the ARB, gotta pull the bumper off to get to it.
