Sounds like Keith and Anthony and I will meet up at 6:30ish on Friday and head out. I'm planning on bringing my 4wheeler too so that'll be fun.

Good point. I should save that " fixin' " until Friday night at camp No need for me to hog all the destruction.

You're trading a non-functional boat for a non-functional truck?

Looks like I might be able to stay down there the entire weekend!

I'm debating whether to bring my 4wheeler or not. For those of you who have camped down there. Do you think it will be safe to leave my 4wheeler at the campsite while we are out wheeling? I have a locking cable for it so if I needed to I could lock it up to a tree.

What do you guys think? The only other downside is the worse gas mileage but it shouldn't be THAT bad.

Thanks!

Fink

I don't think you will end up riding it enough. That is if you plan on wheeling the runner. If you do bring it make sure to lock it up it would probably be alright but just in case.

The only times I would use it is while you guys are doing the night wheeling, I'm not gonna do that this trip. Even then though, you'll probably be going places I don't wanna go or would even be able to go with the 4wheeler.

Sounds like I'll probably end up leaving it at home, thanks man.

I don't know you bring up some good points maybe you will want to bring it. But if we go anywhere you don't want to go I'm sure you could ride with one of us no prob. Anyway I'm pumped and can't wait to have some fun.

So I'm in bed, the first morning of NOT having to get up to go to H.S. thinking, "Ah, Good day." phone rings. caller ID says "4 wheel p" yay. new tire

Not the case.

The first person i talked to the monday we got back said to cut out the sidewall from the bead to bottom of the tread, including the DOT number in that section and send it in. So thats what I did.

Call them up that friday to see whats goin' down, and they said it takes 2-3 weeks for USPS to get from where I am to them. WEEKS? Riiight... Anyway, so I hang up, and go about my day.

Then the call comes this morning. They want a 6x6" piece of the tread, not any part of the sidewall.

1. How the do you cut through the steel belts in the tread?
2. Why do they need my tread? I put a hole in the sidewall...
3. 2-3 weeks my foot.

/

Oh, and I dont feel like starting a new thread for this, so here's some sort of relation to this trip.

Cory, I guess I'll be using that tire of yours.

That sucks man. I would just try and use a dremel with a longer cutting bit on it. I doubt a cutting disk on a grinder would be work very well but it may get the job done.

That's weird they want part of your tread.

Id saw sawzall as well...

Fink, you might wanna bring the wheeler... It looks like i might be bringin enough people to fill my truck and hans' so i dont know who else would be going on the night wheelin stuff... I suppose we can ride 3 deep in the cab of hans' and 3 deep across my backseat..... It wouldnt be the first time... hell Hans, myself, and another one of our buddies rode in the backseat of a jeep once... not recommended, but it did work.... I should have a better headcount tomorrow.

I might do some night wheeling and so might a guy named steven so that's two more 3rd gen runners but I'm not sure I guess it would just depend on where we were wheeling.

Anthony in the rear, Steven and I neither. Steven has more guts, or lack of brains, than I do so he'll try pretty much anything at least once I'm sure. I call shotgun with Anthony for gnarly stuff or night wheeling.
