Have you guys ever hit the horn like that on accident? I have done it and it makes me feel such a tool. My wife thinks so too.

that was a pretty good hit, looks like it will need a fender and hood too.

No, but I cracked some ribs, sprained wrists and dislocated thumbs.

I'm a track monitor at local SCCA autocross events. Sometimes the novices hit the horn AND wipers while learning the ropes. Kinda cute.

so which one of you people on here are making his vehicle payments ? or paying for it to get fixed?
the guy goes out and buys a rig he wants , and goes and plays with it , so what. if he was o nhere complaining about the cost to fix it , or how crappy the vehcile is for not standing up to a tree , the ni could see al lthe critizism. but its his , and he'll pay the price to fix it m, so what.
some people are finesse drivers , some aren't. when the bill comes to fix it , he might think twice about being a bump and grinder versus a finesse driver, lesson learned.

HAHA!! Yeah the horn really makes the vid. It's just brings attention to the huge jackass you just made of yourself.......(yeah, I've been there-just have never watched it from the outside like this before)

He messed up a little bit more than the bumper/brush guard. If you pause the vid you can see the plastic flying and the passenger fender crumple along with the drivers side hood being flexed up.

True True. Sure it may have been avoided, but if he plays rough then damage will occur. At least he is putting the mods to use and the ARB is seeing real bush and not just at a rippers' parking lot.

God forbid any of us do something "lame" out on the trail.
For every finger we point....

That said, I don't know if I would have romped on the gas quite as hard...

I learned the lesson of rompin the gas hard when I first took Tess out...
I had Rugged Trails On at the Time and was trying ot keep up witha friend who had M/T's on his jeep...
Needless to say I was everywhere...
But anyway we come to a mudpit...
I knew that if I tried to crawl through it I was going to get stuck...
So I threw it in 4HI 2nd Gear and guned it....
Needless to say the alignment was off and my nearly balded tires balded even faster...
Now I negotiate things a littel better....
Still not as much carnage as that guy...

I've downloaded a bunch of his videos and was just going to post that second FJ vs tree. I agree, put some armor on that thing before bashing it up.

On this page
http://www.latechsupport.net/offroad/Videos/
watch the FJ stuck in the mud vid
http://www.latechsupport.net/offroad...0the%20Mud.wmv

I see the Jeep trying to pull the FJ, but the Jeep also is in the mud, and slipping.
I am thinking to myself that the Jeep should be up on higher/dryer ground, and he does that later on in the vid.

I would have attempted the rescue that way first.

Looks like he is having a lot of fun with his rig though.
Give me snowy trails, dirty trails, anything but mud.
I have had my share of cleaning up mud in the past, and do not enjoy the time it takes to get it all out.

They sure are flingin' some good mud though.
