Yes. There's a little rubber plug under the filter funnel you'll need to remove before twisting the filter off. Put a cup under it to catch the filter drain oil. Be sure to replace the one-time use oil pan drain plug gasket too. It's the easiest oil change I've ever done.

Is that oil pan drain plug gasket just a crush washer or is like a rubber gasket?

Crush. I've used them twice without problems, but it should be replaced every time. It'll be stuck either to the pan or plug and take a flat-blade screwdriver to remove. Also check that the filter gasket came off with the filter or a double-gasket situation could occur = fire drill.

Mine seems to take almost exactly 5 quarts. It really is the easiest oil change you'll ever do. I love it.

Yea. I get this all the time at work. Get a really small flat head screwdriver and scrape that sucker off. And always replace it.
