toyota camery ecu help
ok so i got involved in a engine swap. no big deal right... wrong. the original motor is a 3sfe out of a 96 camery and the motor going in is a 5sfe. it came with a wire harness that has been cut in a few places but no big deal to fix the problem comes in that the person that bought the motor didnt get the ecu from the donor car and the car has now been scraped
i like working with electronics and stuff and have been studying my 22re to rte computer swap so im not afraid to repin the ecu however my biggest question is will a ecu originally designed for a coil ignition (3sfe) manage the distributor (5sfe) or is it a lost cause (dont just say that because you wouldnt feel like doing this please)
btw i know the camery is not a truck or suv but i figured this would be the best place to put it
