How do you wire to the fuse box?
Newb question here...
My CB is hooked directly to the battery right now, but the directions call for it to be wired to an auxillary slot on the fuse box. How do I got about doing this, specifically, how do I connect the positive wire to the fuse box itself? Pictures would be great if you've got them.
Thanks!

I have no clue- are all your fuses taken? All mine were, I bought a 99 cent inline fuse holder and wired it inline with the wire going to the + terminal, serves the same purpose.

3 ways:
1 Direct to the battery
2 Find an add a fuse and you use that (has 2 fuses that replaces your old fuse and one goes to a line out for the power)
3 Buy an auxillary fusebox, wire to battery, then wire cb to aux fuse box.
I did #3 and love it, 6 extra slots for anything I want.

Quickest way but not my favorite. The way to use is simple. Let's say you want to have a 20A fuse for your CB but the best position for your "add a fuse has a 10A already in it. Pull the the 10A replace with "add a fuse" then put the 10A in the "add a fuse" followed by your 20A in the free space. The Red wire will go to your CB's power and just run the ground as a common ground near the CB.
I went with an aux fuse box. the writeup was in the tech section

I installed an auxiliary fuse box in my engine compartment because I was tired of having a cluster of wires going to my battery. This is especially a good idea if you plan on adding anything else.. it keeps things very tidy.
It was about 11 dollars at Schucks, and I ran some 10Awg wire to the battery from the fuse box. Now I can plug my CB and E-locker into my fuse box..and they're all fused. I'll be adding some more stuff soon.

But I put mine in the cab behind the plastic under the ashtray.
Then I hooked up a relay to turn the power on to the CB when truck is on so I wouldn?t forget and leave it on.
I used an add-a-fuse as seen below to get power that is switched on by the ignition.
I ran the wire from the add-a-fuse to the 86 terminal of the relay as seen here:
If your cb has a constant power wire to remember presets then you can run that right to the aux fuse box.
I hope this helps you out is some way. It may not be the best way but it has worked for me.
