Truck Box, Canopy, or Nothing??
I'm curious to know what everyone likes, especially regular cab owners who can't store much of anything in the cab if carrying a passenger.
I currently have a canopy but I'm debating getting rid of it in favor of a truck box. The canopy, while ugly and kind of leaking, has proven to be very useful. I can keep my stuff dry and if I'm hauling a lot I don't need to tie down my load. Downside is I can't haul irregular size items and I can't keep anything very valueable in the back since it's really easy to break in to.
If I get a truck box I can keep some tools on my rig and they'll be a little more secure. I don't get the rain protection though, so if I'm travelling with some gear it's gonna wet if it can't fit in the box. Appearance wise I like the look of a truck box better.
So, what does everyone prefer? Judging by pictures posted here not many people use a canopy. Is there a reason for that or just personal preference?

I have a topper on my p/u... and have to say that I love it. Got a good seal and good clamps. I don't mind taking it off and leaving it in the garage if I have something big to haul. Had a tool box it my old Z71, and it never seemed to have enough room to hold the stuff I didn't want stolen. Just my $.02, but I'll take my shell over a box every day.
