Marlin Crawler bumper

Quick question here. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Marlin Crawler rear bumper. I am looking at the one for 89-95 pickup (when you scroll down, its the one with a picture of a white 3rd gen Truck) $249 is a great price for what appears to be a really nice bumper.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I think its a cool looking bumper. traben27 on here put one on and I've been looking at his build in the check put my truck section.

I wish they made one that went over the existing bumer. This would help me having to park downtown with all the coffee drinking, cell phone talking drivers!

Wow same day shipping! They used to have about a 4 month wait on those. I like it but I think I like the Allpro Taco rear bumper better:

I have a MC on my 1992. Quite happy with it. Things to be aware of: have to do some minor sheet metal cutting under tail gate. I got mine powder coated (Zinc base primer, black on top) for about 150 -- worth it, especially since exhaust comes out near and with the primer the pc won' bubble off. Might be nice if there were some light brackets or similar attached, but for the price... Others to look at inclue the AllPro (agree it looks cooler), BadLands, 4x Innovations, 4Crawler. DONT get one from Kennesaw, per reports. Warn looks great, but ridiculously expensive.

Squiddy, do you have a 4Runner or Truck? I looked at the one on 94 4Runner's rig and thought that tailgate trimming might have to be done, but I didn't think it would be necessary the way Trucks are set up.

I have one as well. I love it. It also did wonders for my rear end sag.

The only gripe I have about mine is: It was a little tough to put on. I think when they went to do the final welds, it warped the bumper just a little bit so when I tried to put it on, the brackets were a little too narrow for the frame... Nothing a little pry bar action and help from a buddy wouldn't fix, though!

I have one on my 87 4runner, I was on the waiting list for 6 months before they could get it made. I wouldn't change a thing. Wouldn't ou know since I got it no one has bumped into me. They got my civic and the 01 4runner but they don't play with the MC bumper.

I've got one on my 89 pickup. Love it! Fit up perfectly.

The only issue is that being as high up as it is (a.k.a. good departure angle) means it covers most of the license plate area. I'm still working on what my final plate location will be. Right now it's just zap strapped to the bumper

That's not the case anymore. They get it out the sameday. Mine took less than a week from ordering to my doorstep.

I ordered mine for my '81 on a monday and had it by wednesday...3 days, not too bad. My welder buddies said they couldn't touch it for $250

I had to trim a little more than I thought I would but oh well. Only thing that I am not thrill with is that the Hole for the recovery shackle should be some 1/2-3/4" stock, not the 1/4" stuff that they have gone too...

I have been trying to order a front bumper but can't seem to get an answer on how long it would take...

Do you have to cut the tailgate on the 1st gen 4runner to fit this bumper?
Really considering this for my 1985...
Thanks!
