Highway misfire?
Hey guys,
I noticed a slight vibrating in my 89' 22re, while driving on the highway (approx 65 mph). I pulled over to find the truck misfiring pretty badly. I replaced the plugs and the truck immediately sounded better. At this point I decided to replace the plugs wires, rotor and cap, since it hadn't been done in a while...Things seemed good for a while, but the issue reared its head again recently while driving on the highway.
I did the timing chain recently, and I guess its possible for the timing to be slightly off, but it starts and seems to run normally..
My plugs get ash fouled quickly and I suspect maybe a lean ratio.
MAF, O2, EGR, all possible culprits...
Has anyone had a similar experience and/or possible solution?
Thanks guys
