I would be very leary of it.

The Hi-Lift is the next generation of the Original Handi-Man Jack. What I have witnessed is under heavy load any other jack will "ratchet" its way down if you are not careful. And that 4 foot pipe flying up and down is not fun. Stuff gets broken.

the one from harbour freight kinda sucks. Its hard to engage and i almost hate using it for fear of life or limb. I got it for free from a friend and i have used it once to change a tire.... it was the fastest and scariest tire change. buy the best and have confidence in it... but still be carefull... the whole design isnt the safest

The hi-lift exteme will be available in Feb (already delayed once so I don't know if that's reliable) and it will cost $95. They couldn't tell me who would be carrying it, they didn't know.

That's about the same price as a hi-lift + jackmate but it's not the bargain I hoped it would be. Still, I'll probably wait and get one since I don't have a hi-lift now.

Well I abandoned the idea of buying the Habor Freight Hi-Lift and stopped by Tractor Supply to see if they had them and I bought the 48" all cast "Red" Hi-Lift jack for $48 and the bumper attatchment for $22 and I made my own base plate if I have to use it on soft ground...I am trying to figure out now how to mount it in the bed of my PU any ideas I have a few...Would like to see some others if anybody has some detailed pictures.
