you dont need the kit. there are alot of people who have done there own way cheaper. and if you have an 83 to take parts off of you just need a crossover stearing kit, the axle you already have and then fab up some spring perches based on the dim of your 83's or go to the upgrade of using rear springs and go off of those. not as hard as you would think if you can fab up some simpe parts or just buy the spring hanger kit and do it that way.

search the site i bet you can find a way cheaper way to do it

looks to me that you just snapped your cv. thats only $70 at the local parts house around here.

dunno bout the grinding noise.
