Moved to Newbie Tech Section.
If you have your user manual, that's a good place to start.
If memory serves it's around a 17.2 gallon tank.
Yes, you will be just fine going down to 87 octane.
The only reason I ever ran Super or Premium in my 3.0 was to keep it quieter and running a little bit better.
With gas the way it is these days ($$) there is no way I would run any higher than 87.
Please use the search button at the top of the page, if after that, you still have questions, then please feel free to ask.

I have the same rig. I have filled up with 17.4xx gallons, the light had been on for about 20-25 miles though, and I was sweating until I got to the pump. The best way to find out is read the manual or run out of gas and then fill it all the way up. cause i believe there are 14 or 15 gal tanks in some of the 2nd gen runners.

I think I have one of those! I've never put more than 15.4 gals in mine, even after running with the light on. PO didn't have the manual that came with it, and the P/U manual has 17.2 gal.

The fuel light comes on prematurely in our trucks. The most I've ever filled up with is 54L, I have a 65L tank. I get 26 hwy mpg (9.5L/100km hwy), thus I have about a 95km hwy range once my light comes on. In the city, that would be 60km.

there's no way its 30 gallons dude, my dad's Chevy Silverado 2500HD is around that tank size...I have an 86' 4Runner which would have the same tank size as an 88', and I'm on the "F" at about 13 gallons...
