I prefer the Taco. I like the utilitarianism of a pickup, but have no nedd for a full size one

I love my 4runner, just wish it came with the e-locker. But if i had the money i would go with a new Tundra 5.7l crew cab max, i love them.

I actually got my dream truck. I thought I 'd want a 2nd gen 4Runner, which I had for 3 years, but grew tired of not having a bed. Found an 89 pickup, extra cab, 4x4, stick, fully loaded!!! That was my dream and I found it, now I'm just working on getting it primo!

4runner for offroading.. its lighter, therefore harder to get stuck, and short wheel base so its easier to maneuver.... and tundra for around and hauling.. the taco is cool, but i dont see its purpose.. dont get me wrong, if someone gave me one id take it in a heartbeat, but i wouldnt buy a new one.. i love my runner too much

The Hilux Surf is the Japanese badged Toyota 4Runner. Same vehicle. Just here in the states it's called the Toyota 4runner. Overseas, it's called the Hilux Surf

a4runnerfreak....thanks for the info and I also found out that the 4runner surf could be ordered with a diesel engine and that's cool provided that there not high maintenance but I still think that will be a cool factor

We have the same truck cept mine is black. I have to disagree with the extra cab. I'm kinda selfish about my truck, and I don't like how the extra cab looks on our truck. When I go offroad the passenger seat is for my wife, and my friends will ride with someone else lol.

I personally have all 3. I have my Tundra for towing and farm related stuff which comes in handy alot. My 94 pickup (which is basically a taco just older is for off roading and camping. Then i've had my 86 4runner for years now and it does alittle bit of everything! I guess i'd have to pick my 94. Its got the 22re and i wouldnt trade it for anything
