transmission and differential fluid capacities

i have a 94 pickup 2WD 22RE 5-speed. i have no idea exactly which transmission is in there. i know what kind of oil i need, but not how much. The owners manual doesn't say. I tried looking it up at the amsoil site, but it doesn't say. Advanced Auto claims its 1.4 qts in the diff, and 2.5 qts in the tranny. but i seen on the computer screen that it had other numbers, so now i'm confused.

i got 4 quarts of lucas 80w-90 gl-5. i live in VA, so it doesn't get super cold. they wanted like $20 for a quart of royal purple.

will 4 quarts get the job done? or do i need more?

i'm pretty sure i see the fill hole/drain plug on the rear diff. that looks easy. Is it easy to fill the tranny back up while the truck is on a lift? or do i need to go through the shifter?

i found this post https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...change-219878/ scroll down and theres a picture that says i either have a G58 tranny or a W56-E tranny. does anybody know which one it really is???

There is a tag on the inside of the drivers door jam that will tell you everything in your truck.

Also, find the factory service manual, There are many links on here on where to get it. It will tell you everything you need.
