My clock isn't working...

...but the guy that I bought the truck from said it worked sometimes when it was cold...ahhh...you got me....but does anyone have any suggestions on where I could start to figure this thing out....It's a 98' Taco and the clock is located just left of the AC button....I haven't got a clue as to what it could be.

Thanks,
Rob

Mine had the same problem and was fixed easily. If you can take the clock out and can solder, you can probably fix it. I took my clock apart. It splits into two pieces. Be careful not to let the springs on the contacts fly out or roll away. Once you have it open, take the two zinc colored screws out of the board. Turn the board over and there will be a few black components that lay flat on the board. I think they are resistors, maybe diodes. They are about 1/4" x 1/8". Try resoldering the ends of these back to the board. Use just enough heat to do the job. I think you will find that this will fix your problem. While you have it apart, you may as well check other solder conections on the board. Good luck.
