Gears
I have a 85 4runner with 33" tires and ~ a 4" inch lift. I bought the truck and it has 529 gears in it w/ lock rite lockers. I want to run 32" tires for everyday driving and swap back to the 33" when I go offroad. Should I keep the 529's or drop down a gear size? I have found yukon makes a 456 gear, I don't know if I want to get this gear or go to a 488. I have read articles were it states you can run the factory gears up to 32" and have to change to 488's when you go up to 33" tires. Any advice would be much appreciated.

5.29's work well with anything over 35" tires.
At a 32" tire, you're going to notice that the truck is SLOW. It will have alot of torque and power, but it'll be slow to speed.
If i were you, i'd keep the 5.29's and not bother with 4.88's. It costs a bit of money to swap gears around, so why fix what aint broken?
