86 22rte coolant line question

Ok we're dealing with an 1986 factory 22rte.
The big coolant line with the 90° bend with the nipple on the driver side near the alternator is leaking. I can't find a new one so was thinking...

Can I just get one for a NA motor without the nipple on it and just abandon/reroute the line coming off that nipple? I've already connected the lines from the heater core together and abandoned the heater core but after following the lines around the block and under the intake I see it's at least connected to something under the area of the throttle body. So I'm assuming this was line important for something.
What's it connected to? Instead of it going around the block and back into that 90° with the nipple, can I reroute the line to connect into that coolant port that was for the turbo right by that he dipstick? My new turbo isn't water cooled so I was just gonna cap it off. Or maybe back into the radiator, cause there's already another coolant port there.
Or maybe you guys have an idea?

hello! new here and I know this is an old post but I was wondering what you ended up doing. I myself have a stock 22rte and that u-shape hose with the nipple next to the p/s pump & alt is broken and hell if I can find a new one. It is currently all capped off and pretty much deleted but I would really love to have a heater a defrost.

It's more than just for a heater. It's the hose feeding into the water pump. Without it, you have no water flow through the engine, and to the radiator. I strongly suggest you find one. Try Rock Auto, they have pretty good selection. Avoid cheapo chinesium junk, though..

Forgetting about a hose with the nipple already in place, If you could find a lower radiator hose that's the right size with the right bends maybe you could cut it in half and put a connector pipe with a nipple on it.
That's a lot of "ifs" I grant you. I saw this On Summit Racing.
