1991 4runner.Runs only with Fp to b+
Hello everyone.I need some advice please. !991 toyota 4runner V6. Runs with fp to battery but dies when I remove the jumper wire. Is there a fuel pump relay.Please help!! Thanks

The circuit in the AFM tells the fuel pump to turn on. If you have an FSM then go through the testing procedure to make sure it is working correctly. Or if you have a spare sitting around just swap it in to see if that solves your problem. The reason it works with the terminals jumpered is because you are taking the AFM out of the equation.
I had the same problem. One day I started my truck and it would sputter and die over and over. Eventually all it would do was crank and crank.

call me dumb.... but what is the AMF and the Fsm? My B+ is not hot with the switch on, But is hot when it cranks (with the FP run to the +battery terminal) thanks for heping.I'm really discouraged!
