Limited Brake Caliper Wheel Conflict
This is a fair warning to anyone who might have a 4th gen Limited/Sport (with the large front brakes) based on my experience today. I have a 2003 4Runner Limited V8 (It also says Sport Edition on the side). I just spent all of Saturday upgrading the suspension with OME shocks/coils and All Pro control arms front and rear. Today I went to put on my new 17x9 Pro Comp Series 97 wheels (I think they are 4" backspacing). The back wheels went on fine, but the front wheels immediately hit the front of the brake calipers. I couldn't slide the wheels all of the way onto the lugs because the brake calipers stick out so far. As such, I had to cancel today's install and try to do an emergency order on some wheel spacers to resolve the issue. From what I could see, I think the calipers were sticking out maybe .5-.75" too far, so the new wheels couldn't seat against the face of the hub. I'll have to wait until I can have some spacers delivered before I can do finally get the new wheels on.

im curious, I have a 03 limited v8 and was looking for an upgrade in the brake system. I think i have the non sport brakes. Do you know if the calipers and discs are interchangeable going to sport brakes from non sport edition 4runner?
