yet another rear window question!

Yes I have searched

Alright here are the symptoms.

My window only goes down with the key, and only goes up with the switch.
my window was working fine with switch and key, then one day it stopped working right.

what I have done:

1) Replaced all of the little relays on the rear window relay behind the drivers seat.
2) Bypassed the switches for the top and wiper.

3) replaced the window switch in the dash.

Still same problem.
I'm going crazy and wasting money. any ideas of the prob?

Thanks
Kent

I bypassed everything and hooked up my own switch. If you search i wrote how to do it in someone else's post about 2 weeks ago.

I'm not sure about the 4Runners but this is a common issue with Ford Broncos as well. Sometimes it is the result of a bad ground between the door and the body. I had two of them with the same problem. One I was able to fix by just lceaning the latches and posts. It didn't work on the other though. It would work fine as long as someone pushed against it.

Just a thought.
